Building Confidence (Year 3 – 5)
Years 3-5 play a critical role in laying the groundwork for future academic success, including NAPLAN, OC, Selective and Independent School Scholarship Exams. Our WEMT Courses offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers reading comprehension, effective writing techniques, vocabulary development, grammar, in-depth exploration of mathematical concepts, developing critical thinking and problem-solving strategies.
THINKING SKILLS
A variety of challenging problem-solving and critical thinking skills questions are covered in the course. Students build their ability to use knowledge, facts and data to find a problem and its solution. Critical thinking questions will improve their ability to reason through an argument logically and make a conclusion or to assess a situation, recognise assumptions and evaluate arguments.
WRITING
Providing most efficient skills of organising the structure of the writing. Focus on developing critical thinking and reasoning skills.
ENGLISH
Encourage constant interaction between the student and teacher when reading and answering the questions. Provide learning which focuses on reading skills and practicing reading comprehension & language convention questions.
MATHEMATICS
Essential tuition to completely understand mathematical theories, principle and formulas to solve mathematical problems. Organised materials with a variety of practical questions. Allocate groups of students with similar levels to provide a more efficient and customised learning.
The Selective Trial Test Course is designed to assist in preparing for the Selective High School Placement Test, focusing on enhancing accuracy, speed, and abilities.

The Selective Trial Test Course (STTC) will help your child to manage his/her time efficiently, minimise carelessness and overcome examination nerves. MASTER THINKING SKILLS
Working through the practice questions and understanding why you made the mistakes using the explained answers is the best way to prepare for the thinking skills tests By familiarising the test format with a variety of questions.in the STTC, students will gain the confidence and skills to achieve excellent results in their exam. Getting the good thinking skills test mark is critical as there is no school assessment score in the thinking skill component.
ADVANCED SKILLS AND WORK
With WEMG course, STTC programs are designed to cover the whole of the Year 6 curriculum. Therefore our students attain advantage in the exam due to the fact that the actual exam is held in March and covers very difficult questions regardless of the curriculum covered at school.
MINIMISING DISADVANTAGES IN ENGLISH
Within a short period, mastering the subject of English is extremely difficult. The recent trends of the actual selective exam has been introduced longer passages in the Reading Comprehension section and more difficult types of language convention questions in the Thinking Skills. Opportunity Class Trial Test Course
The OC Trial Test Course helps students make real progress and build confidence for success in their OC Placement Test.
The OCTTC is designed to support students’ preparations for the Opportunity Class Placement Test. The course offers a distinctive approach by allowing students to practice exam-style questions in simulated exam conditions. While the answer sheets are being marked, teachers review the entire test paper with particular focus on difficult questions. Each question is explained thoroughly, step-by-step. Students receive their individual results at the end of the session as a record of their performance.

Writing Course
We provide the most effective learning programs to enhance students’ writing skills.
Our writing courses will support students’ development of technical and creative writing skills. It will cover areas including grammar, spelling and punctuation that pertain to specific text types as is required in the children’s current English Curriculum. The course will assist children to develop their narrative, descriptive, persuasive and explanatory writing skills so they can become proficient writers across all key learning areas. The aim of this course is to target students’ individual needs in writing so they can become more confident, capable and proficient writers. It will assist students with their individual performance in all written tasks in the classroom as well as formalised tests such as NAPLAN, the Selective High School Placement Test and ICAS Assessments.
