Jul 01 2025

We’re excited to announce that the 36th ASAT (Australian Scholastic Achievement Test) will be held on Sunday, 19th October 2025! This comprehensive mock exam is a vital milestone for Year 5 students preparing for the 2026 Selective School Placement Test. With the official test now fully computer-based, ASAT offers a uniquely valuable opportunity to rehearse under realistic conditions.
Why ASAT Is Essential in the CBT (Computer-Based Test) Era
Limited places mean early preparation is key. ASAT is especially helpful for students who struggle with exam nerves, need help managing test time, or have limited familiarity with computer-based testing.
Realistic CBT Rehearsal
ASAT closely mirrors the actual selective school placement test in timing, structure, question types, screen navigation and digital interaction. While there are minor practical differences—such as venue conditions that can vary by location and venue type—this CBT rehearsal still builds the confidence and digital fluency essential for success on exam day.
In-Depth Diagnostic Reporting
Every student receives a comprehensive performance report, including accuracy by section and common error patterns. These insights help families identify weaknesses and refine study strategies during the final stretch of preparation.
Trusted Guidance for School Placement
ASAT draws from the largest dataset in the market, offering strong statistical reference points for potential school placements. While not guarantees, these insights offer meaningful direction to support your school selection decisions.
Rehearse the Real Exam Experience
ASAT simulates the full exam experience, including following supervisor instructions, taking breaks, and using the toilet during the test. This realistic experience helps stabilise mindset and reduce anxiety—with families consistently reporting a noticeable drop in stress levels after ASAT.
Exclusive Benefits for ASAT Participants
All ASAT students receive a Special Trial Test set for extra practice—valued beyond the registration
fee! Participants also enjoy priority consideration for analysis sessions, workshops, and exclusive
promotions via the Pre-Uni New College Family List (subject to availability).
Don’t Miss This Crucial Preparation Opportunity!
Secure your spot early and give your child the confidence, skills, and insight they need to succeed in the Selective High School Placement Test.
